Sam Elliott Double Feature – The Ranger, the Cook and a Hole in the Sky / Blue River – DVD

This Sam Elliott double-feature DVD includes two made-for-television dramas: The Ranger, the Cook and a Hole in the Sky and Blue River. Both films feature character-driven stories set against distinctly American settings, with Sam Elliott appearing prominently in the collection.

The Ranger, the Cook and a Hole in the Sky is set in 1919 and follows veteran forest ranger Bill Bell as he trains a young newcomer while battling the dangers of early wildfire fighting. Blue River, based on the novel by Ethan Canin, follows two estranged brothers whose troubled past is gradually revealed.
